Es gibt in Amerika und vielleicht auf dem Planeten kein Land mit größerer menschlicher Tiefe als Mexiko und seine Bewohner. In seinen großen Lichtpunkten wie in seinen gigantischen Irrtümern ist dieselbe Verkettung von grandiosem Edelmut mit hoher Lebenskraft, unerschöpflicher Geschichte und unaufhörlichem Werden zu erkennen. Aber das Land zwischen Nord- und Südamerika, gestern noch Entwicklungsland, heute OECD- Staat, ist zu groß, zu komplex, zu widersprüchlich, um es allein in diesen Bildern erfassen zu können. Ich versuche es trotzdem und lade dich ein, prallgefüllte Märkte, viel Sonne, schneeweiße Palmenstrände, mitreißende Folklore, steil aufragende Pyramiden, mit mir neu zu entdecken.
